Downtown Flagstaff, Arizona
Instead of offering just one big celebratory dinner, we decided to offer “Dining Through the Decades” and host five celebrations, one for each decade the restaurant has been around. Our founder, Don Monette — my grandfather — archived old menus and this idea presented a fun opportunity for us to both remember and reimagine our culinary roots. Downtown Flagstaff, Arizona sits in the western part of the city, and consists of several culturally-connected blocks. The city of Flagstaff has a downtown culture of local, independent stores inside historic buildings. If you only have a day or two to spend in Flagstaff, spending some time downtown is a great thing to do year-round. Flagstaff definitely has a mountain town vibe and a character that is very different from most of the other cities in Arizona.
CLOSED TODAY
You'll also have the chance to enjoy concerts at downtown Flagstaff's Wheeler Park, farmers' markets and various events hosted especially during warmer weather months. So spend a few days here and relax, enjoy the weather, the laidback atmosphere and leave all that crowded city stuff behind...because, yeah, it's pretty chill up here. We currently offer two menu formats, the Chef’s Tasting Menu and our Four-Course Menu. Both menus offer an array of dishes in a progressive format, meaning they are intended to be ordered as a series rather than individual courses. Our Executive Chef and Co-Owner, Chris Royster, has carefully curated menu offerings that are the perfect amount of food to be enjoyed by our diners. We find that if a diner is to only order one or two courses that they will leave feeling dissatisfied with the amount of food.

Flagstaff, Arizona, is a beautiful city with lots of history and natural wonders. It's up in the northern part of Arizona, surrounded by forests and mountains. This place has been home to Native American tribes for centuries, and it became a big deal in the 1800s when railroads and logging were booming.
DINING EXPERIENCE
Each of our dishes are made to order which allows us to be flexible and creative whenever it comes to modifying plates to best suit the needs of our diners. While we are stringent with precautions taken, we are unable to give 100% assurance that all of our preparations are free from cross contamination. On behalf of The Flagstaff House and our guests we kindly request that diners do not use cell phones in our dining rooms aside from taking photos. Due to a high demand for window and outdoor tables, we always have and always will seat our tables on a first come, first serve basis. Nearly all tables within our restaurant offer a notable view of both the City of Boulder and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. We will welcome you to the best available table upon the time of your arrival.

Flagstaff's economy is doing well, with a mix of jobs in education, healthcare, tourism, and more. Northern Arizona University is a big part of the community, bringing students and jobs to the city.

To celebrate five decades of service, staff launched “Dining Through the Decades,” a dinner series that blends nostalgia with savory dishes and a helping of philanthropy. As taxi services are scarce in the Boulder area, most rideshare businesses are readily available for both drop-off and pick-up. We ask that all guests plan transportation accordingly for their visit, especially if they intend to consume any alcohol. Lo Gallery, was built and opened in 1995.[5] It is named after local collector (and Vitasoy founder Dr. Kwee Seong Lo), who made a donation to the city in the 1970s. When it comes to politics, Flagstaff is more liberal than other parts of Arizona.

People here care a lot about the environment and sustainability, trying to keep the city green and clean. There's a strong sense of community, with arts, culture, and festivals that bring everyone together. Children of all ages are welcome at The Flagstaff House, albeit we are understandably not a child-friendly restaurant.
